Mount the X-stage centered under the Y-stage. Use M6x16. Lowhead screws aren't required, but I used them just in case.

| The rare earth magnets built in to the X-stage are very powerful. Be careful! They can tear the hex wrench right out of your hand if you get too close. As magnetic field dies off with inverse square of the distance, a trick to keep from getting the wrench too close to the magnet is to simply put a piece of cardboard between you and the magnet. It helps enormously. Even if the wrench sticks to the magnet, you'd still be able to pull it away with your fingers. Without the cardboard you'll need a big pair of pliers topull the wrench away, and you'll probably chip the magnets. | |
